If there's a God I think God is doting on me.
As i was desperate after hours of searching through the hundred lines of Java I've written for a fucking nullPointer mistake, God sent an angel to me and the angel is Jon Reinstein.
He got exactly the same mistake as me, and together we managed to spot the mistake. If God wasn't doting on me or was napping or was hitting on some hot angels, i would have died in there.

Excerpts from the college newspaper, let everyone get a feel of how fun US college life is:
Street Shoutouts(anonymous posts from readers to other ppl)
-Why do you fuck everyone and hide it? It's not normal. We're your friends. Just tell us. We don't care if you're a slut, slut.
-To a certain UA(student government) hotshot: I can't wait to see you naked. Can we do it in the pooper?
-Dear admissions people: please take my little brother, I'll give you a BJ.
-Dear admissions people: let hotter girls in, I'll give you a BJ.
-To sexy ex-DP columnist with lop-sided grin. Come over and say hi, I'll blow you away with more than just intellectual history.
-To the guy who wants to fuck me in the ass: No
-To my roommate: A job well done on crying while you masturbate under the sheets.
-To one of the many guys who has gotten with my roommate: thanks for barfing in my bathroom and using my toothbrush afterwards.
-To that mysterious fatty I woke up to on that sad, winter morning: I want my dignity back.

Why am I still fucking not part of the life?

The coolest thing on earth happened.
Our meal plan(go figure out what meal plan is) listserv is hacked into, and as long as it's not fixed, you suddenly have access to all the freshmen at Penn by mail.
And the second coolest thing, Mask n Wig company dinner, although i gave my best, it turned out that my beerpunk skill is still not up to standards. Two close games, one amazing save, two losses. Sorry little Nikil who has a hot Chinese gf.

Americans are:
-vocal, outspoken, everyone can talk a whole lot of bullshit, especially in management class. Amazingly well-organized and well-elaborated bullshit even
-fashion-obsessed, especially girls in U Penn. Good thing when they are not fat, bad when they are. Usually they are.
-not as humorous as i thought they are. Sometimes even cornier than Singaporean, now i think Chinese are the most humorous.
-alcohol-addicted and alcohol-driven, become as crazy as they appear in movies only when they get drunk and totally (censored by Blogger)ed up.
-mad about football and baseball
-active in sexual behavior(compared to asians), high libido(same as asians)
-loves funny and extreme swearing, and anything associated with them such as Team America
-likes hugging when greeting the opposite sex
-(guys)generally muscular
-(girls)generally round

How to hook up with a girl?
I must admit that hooking up with a girl, the idea never came to my mind until maybe last year. I always have this romanticism in my mind. You know, take it easy, love comes naturally. it's either love at first sight or you will spend your entire life looking for the other half trapped somewhere in antarctic, siberia or Laos. Somewhere out there, a sleeping beauty is waiting for your kiss.
No more. I'm finally past that age. I need a girl. I don't wanna watch the American guys around me flirting and making out with chicks forever. I got to show them Chinese guy's charm. I'm fighting for the name of my country.
So I asked this friend of mine, how to hook up with a girl? Of course she's a girl. Doesn't mean i wanna hook up with her.
She said, if you wanna hook up with a girl, you shouldn't make her feel that you wanna hook up with her. That will immediately turn her off.
She said you gotta have a very good conversation. Not too intelletual, not too crappy.
Now maybe that's one thing I suck at.
She said that you shouldn't say things for the sake of saying it. But isn't that the whole idea of hooking up? All the pick-up line and stuff.
Damn i'm confused. Maybe hooking will never work for me. Maybe only hooker will.
=)

i've so many things to share with every dear reader.
I've finally started to appreciate intellectual conversation again. Sounds weird but somehow i feel like i've talking crap for too long. And not everyone likes talking crap. Everyone likes intellectual conversation coz we feel smarter that way.
I've joined this preceptorial lesson called queer 101 and gained a new perspective on LGBT community. I've finally met some lesbian and gay friends. They are perfectly nice and intelligent people, and very optimistic and positive, now my prejudice against LGBT ppl is challenged, finally. I've also become more knowledgeable in the field, like i bet you dunno what's the difference between transexual and transgender, ha!
Talked to this indian girl called Gamari or Garima, talked to her, while actually listened to her talking to another girl called Garlic or Galit about arranged marriage. That was a totally enlightening experience! She talked about how Indian people perceive arranged marriage. She made a point by saying that by having zero expectation upon entering arranged marriage, couples are, contrary to popular view, more likely to achieve harmony and happiness. Hmm.
Watched Bloomer show with a group of mentally wasted Wiggers. Embarrasing. Went to Da Yin's room and drank until I became mentally wasted, even more embarrasing.
Went down to Princeton. Finally!! i got a feel of crazy american teenager lifestyle. The bus trip with Tabard girl was so crazy!! We did all the ridiculous things I could imagine except for intimate affairs. Man it was so unbelievable. Now i'm a bad boy...or a real man?
Don't get me wrong.

the U.S. election is already heat. The impact it left will go on for a long time.
All the americans are Politics- or rather election-fanatics, most of them here are democrats, but being an ecletic ivy league college, republicans are abound. It's interesting to note how they jeer at Bush or Kerry. Bush is irritating, too obstinent, murderer, against gay marriage, against abortion, against stem-cell research and everything else ground-breaking, like a chimpanzee, and Kerry flip-flops.....well forever.
I'm shocked at how many americans actually support Bush though, anyone else in the world would think that after four years of messing up with war and terrorism Bush would get his ass kicked, but no, more democrats actually voted for Bush than there are republicans voted for Kerry. I don't know how to explain this. There was this analysis from sina.com.cn that says that the whole american is turning conservative and wants natural security. I don't know how conservatism leads to national security. I thought democrats grab more money from taxpayers and thus can waste more on TMD or TNND or whatever. i don't know. Maybe it just doesn't matter to a Chinese student? we are 100,000 times more politically apathetic. supposed to be no good, huh? I have heard several people commenting that they're gonna migrate to Canada. I think if a Chinese will one day claim that he's going to migrate to North Korea or Mongolia or wherever coz he can't stand the Jiang Ze Min, that should be a sign of improvement of democracy.
The most impressive thing is that the people here not only talk about politics, they take action. Especially the students! The students man, they are everywhere, they not only watch the presidential debate, they organize presidential debate party. They take part in voter registration process and organize panel discussion and debates on the election. Election is the no.1 subject on everyone's mind. On the election night, when I went to center city, there was so much noise. Because the college democrats are there holding their banners, flags, mascots, whatever and getting all drivers passing by to honk with them! what a sight! my friend, a girl, was totally irritated and chanting four-lettered words million times. But I was really impressed with their enthusiasm.
And another interesting thing about America politics is the parodies. From comics, comedies, movies, everywhere. One good example is Team_America.

went to do management shit with Talena in center city today.
Surprisingly, the american people are very friendly towards Community Service Projects. We were almost welcome and greeted warmly every where. Although some places turned us down by policy, their stuff still expressed warm support that made it all feel very worthwhile.
There was this gorgeous waitress at Cosi today. She is stunning as hell. But Talena said she's not pretty at all. How come? My taste has always been good man.

quote of the day:
君子不忧不惧。
A real man has no worries nor fears.

well I don't like to translate 君子 to gentleman, I think they're totally different.
Agree?
