Some experiences with hair dying...
TO all asians with our black hair, if you wanna go for a fancy color, any color really coz black is not a dye-friendly color, you have to bleach your hair first. The hair bleach is this smelly powder you mix with water and smudge onto your hair. Leave it for half an hour at least. A shower hat usually speeds up the process. Rinse it thoroughly. Then apply whatever color you want to. Leave it for another 45 minutes. Rinse it. The tip is always the trickiest part so you have to pay extra attention.
To rinse from whatever fancy color to black, buy a $4.29 hair color(look out for colorsilk, the cheapest I can find in CVS), and do it yourself. It's easy as hell. But very troublesome.
Always wrap some crap around yourself. The biggest mistake I've made this year. Now my sweatpants look like some hip-hop graffiti.
